The first meeting of the Committee was held on Tuesday 1 May 2018 in the presence of the Chairman of the Chamber, Abdulhakeem Bin Hamad Al Ammar Al Khalidi, and the Secretary General of the Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabil. During this meeting, the Committee of Lawyers and Legal Advisors in Asharqia Chamber has selected Khalid Bin Abdul Latif Al Saleh as its Chairman and Sabah Al Marri as a Vice President.
The votes were collected by secret ballot, as Khaled al-Saleh receiving 18 votes, while Walid al-Misnad received 7 votes.
As for the vice president, Sabah al-Marri received 12 votes, Walid al-Misnad with 4 votes , seven for Hamad al-Qahtani, and two for Saad al-Jamaan.
The President of the Chamber, Abdul Hakim Al-Khalidi, said in a welcoming speech to the members of the Committee that the legal consulting sector is an important sector that plays an active role in the economic and social life. Therefore, "we hope for distinguished performance of the Committee and achievements in line with this importance."
